A Share Link remains manageable after you send it. Use the document’s Links area or the workspace Share Links hub to find the audience, document, and current link state.
Revoke or resume access
Revoke a link when the recipient should no longer open it. Revocation is usually better than deleting the source document because it affects the chosen audience without removing other active links.
If you resume a link, HummingDeck checks the current plan limit before reactivating it. An expired link can still count toward the active-link limit until it is revoked.
Control downloads
Paid plans can turn downloads off for new or existing links. Free links allow downloads. After a downgrade, a previously restricted link can be changed back to allow downloads, but a new restriction requires an eligible plan.
Turning off the download button reduces casual copying. It cannot prevent screenshots, photography, or every form of browser capture. Use access controls and appropriate content judgment as well.
Add an expiration date
Expiration is useful for time-bound pricing, investor rounds, event material, and temporary review access.
An expired link stops opening after the selected time. Revoke the link as well if you no longer plan to reuse it.
Choose notifications
View notifications help you follow up while interest is current. Use them for high-value recipient links. Avoid turning every broad campaign link into an interruption.
The Activity feed remains the better place to review a sequence of views across documents, Rooms, contacts, and companies.
Replace the document behind a link
Re-upload when the recipient should keep the same URL but see the current document. Tell the recipient when a material term or decision point changed. Silent replacement can create confusion if they already reviewed an earlier version.
Before changing a live link
Check the audience, access mode, current proposal state, and any Room association. Room-managed document links inherit parts of their behavior from the Room recipient link and should be changed from the Room when the interface directs you there.
