Know your audience
Email capture
Ask viewers for an email before a public document opens. This is lead capture, not access control. Available on Pro and Business.
Restricted access
Limit a link to approved email addresses. Recipients prove inbox access before viewing. Available on Pro and Business.
Personal sharing links
Create a link for an intended recipient and review activity associated with that link separately from aggregate links.

Link expiration and revocation
Set an expiry date on Starter and above, or revoke an active link when access should end.
Viewer download controls
On Starter and above, turn off the download button for supported documents. This does not prevent screenshots or other capture methods.
Update the file. Keep the link.
Replace the shared document with a new version without revoking the link or sending recipients a new one.

Is this an Issuu alternative?
For supported HTML5 exports, HummingDeck covers browser hosting and sharing with document activity, page-level analytics on Starter and above, and restricted approved-email access on Pro and Business.
Can I host an InDesign Publish Online or HTML5 package export?
Yes. Export from InDesign as an HTML5 package, zip it, and upload. You get per-viewer tracking, gating, and a custom domain that Publish Online does not offer.
Does it work with in5 and FlipHTML5 exports?
Yes. Any tool that exports a self-contained HTML5 flipbook works, including the in5 InDesign plugin and FlipHTML5. The exported file is the only integration.
Will the page-flip animation and embedded video still work?
The export runs inside a sandboxed iframe. Page-flip transitions, links, and embedded video continue to work when the exported package and sandbox permissions support them; test the shared link before sending it broadly.
Can I see who opened the flipbook and which pages they read?
HummingDeck records qualifying opens. Personal links keep activity separate by intended recipient, while restricted sessions on Pro and Business associate activity with the email address used to enter. Starter and above add recorded viewing time by page. Multiple-viewer patterns are signals, not proof of identity or forwarding.
