Integrations and connected workflows

Connect engagement data and document publishing to the tools your team already uses, with clear ownership and testing.

Updated August 17, 2026

Integrations should remove a repeated manual step or put a useful signal where the team already works. Connect only the tools you plan to maintain.

Slack

Slack can send selected HummingDeck activity to a workspace channel. Use a channel that matches the audience for the notifications, and test the connection after setup.

Plan: Pro and abovePermission: Owner or admin

Avoid sending every broad content view into a busy sales channel. High-value Personal, Proposal, and Room activity produces a more useful signal.

Close CRM

The Close integration can synchronize document engagement to the relevant CRM records and activity type.

Plan: Pro and abovePermission: Owner or admin

Before enabling automatic sync, confirm how contacts and companies are matched. Test with one internal or sample record, then verify the resulting activity in Close.

Zapier

Zapier supports automation around documents, links, contacts, and engagement events. It is useful when you need a workflow without building a direct API integration.

Plan: All plans

Zapier OAuth credentials have a different lifecycle and webhook capability from manually issued workspace API tokens. Follow the API reference when building an advanced Zapier workflow.

Google Workspace and browser tools

The Google Workspace add-on and browser extension help publish or share material from the place where it was created. They still create HummingDeck documents and links subject to the workspace’s normal limits and access rules.

Plan: All plans

Use the source tool for authoring and HummingDeck for the recipient link, access controls, and engagement history.

Integration safety

  • Connect integrations from a company-managed account.
  • Give credentials only the permissions the workflow needs.
  • Remove connections when the owner leaves or the workflow is retired.
  • Test success and failure states before relying on an automated process.
  • Never place integration credentials inside an uploaded HTML document.
