From Claude Design to tracked link in three steps

Export from Claude Design as standalone HTML
Open the deck in Claude Design, click Export in the upper right, and pick 'Export as standalone HTML'. You get a single .html file with fonts, images, and brand assets inlined. No external dependencies.

Viewer download controls
On Starter and above, turn off the download button for supported documents. This does not prevent screenshots or other capture methods.
Update the file. Keep the link.
Replace the shared document with a new version without revoking the link or sending recipients a new one.

What is Claude Design?
Anthropic Labs' visual prototyping product, launched April 2026. It pairs Claude Opus 4.7 with an HTML canvas to generate pitch decks, mockups, presentations, and landing pages from a prompt, then refines through chat. Founders, AEs, PMs, and marketers use it to ship on-brand visuals without a design team. Available on Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise.
Why use HummingDeck instead of Claude Design's built-in sharing?
Claude Design's built-in share link is scoped to your organization, with view, comment, or edit access for colleagues. That covers internal review. It doesn't give you a link you can hand to an external prospect, investor, or customer with access controls, expiry, revocation, and per-recipient tracking. HummingDeck is that layer.
Do I need to connect my Anthropic account?
No. There's no API call, no OAuth, no 'connect Anthropic' step. You export the .html and upload it. The integration is the file.
Does the deck still work after upload?
Yes. HummingDeck renders the Claude Design HTML inside a sandboxed iframe, so interactivity, transitions, and any embedded prototypes keep working. The sandbox keeps the deck from touching your account session.
What kind of engagement data do I get?
Starter and above include recorded viewing time by slide, completion, link-click events where supported, and return-visit signals. On Pro and Business, multiple viewer signals on one personal link can suggest that the link reached someone else, but they do not prove identity or forwarding.
What if my Claude Design export uses unusual markup?
A supported HTML export can still be served when its slide structure is not recognized, but page-level breakdowns depend on HummingDeck being able to identify that structure. Test the shared link and analytics before sending it broadly.
What about Claude Design's PPTX, PDF, or Canva exports?
PPTX and PDF work too. Upload either and you get the same tracked link, sandboxed viewer, and analytics. Standalone HTML preserves the most of what Claude Design built, so it's the one we recommend for live prototypes and animated decks.
How does this compare to Claude Code handoff?
Claude Design has a separate 'Handoff to Claude Code' option for turning a project into shipping code. That's the path when the deck is actually a prototype you want built. HummingDeck is for the other path: when the deck is a deck, and you want to send it to a prospect, investor, or customer and see what they did with it. The two don't overlap.
Does this work for other AI-generated decks?
Yes. The same upload path takes ChatGPT canvas, v0 demos, Lovable apps, Bolt projects, and anything else that exports self-contained HTML. Claude Design was the forcing function. The capability is broader.
Which browsers are supported for viewing?
Chrome, Safari, and Edge are fully supported. Firefox renders correctly but has a known zoom quirk we're tracking.
