Your buyers are drowning in email threads.

Proposals buried in a 12-email thread. Pricing in a Slack DM. Case studies in a Google Drive folder they can't find. By the time your champion loops in the VP, half the context is lost. You deserve a better way to run a deal.

A digital sales room in action

Step 1Organize

Add your proposal, pricing, and two case studies.

You create a deal room for Acme Corp. Your main contact is Sarah, their VP of Operations. Drag in the proposal, the pricing sheet, the MSA, and a couple of case studies. Add section dividers to keep it organized. Takes about two minutes.

Step 2Tabs

Organize content into tabs.

Create tabs for each stage of the deal: Proposal, Technical, Legal. Each tab gets its own set of documents, links, and embeds. Your buyer sees a clean, organized portal instead of a wall of files.

Step 3Enrich

Embed videos, forms, and booking links.

Paste a Loom or YouTube link and it embeds inline. Drop in a Calendly widget so Sarah can book a call without leaving the room. Add a Typeform questionnaire to collect requirements upfront. Add your ROI calculator on Google Sheets as a tracked URL to record supported click activity. Videos, forms, scheduling, and links all live alongside your docs.

Step 4Share

Your buyer gets one link. Not five attachments.

You send Sarah an open-access room link. She clicks it, with no HummingDeck account or app to install, and opens a branded portal with your logo and Acme's. A welcome message at the top, every document organized below. Restricted links add email verification before the room opens.

Step 5Brand

Not a folder. A branded experience.

Both logos sit at the top: yours and Acme's. A custom room name, a personal welcome message, and a clean layout that says 'we built this for you.' It's the difference between dumping files in a shared drive and presenting a deal.

Hi Sarah! Here's everything you need for our partnership. I've organized the docs by stage. Feel free to forward this room to your team, and let me know if you have any questions!

Step 6Decide

Your buyer responds to the proposal. You get a notification.

On Pro and Business plans, a notification can arrive in your inbox and connected Slack channel after Sarah selects "Accept" on the proposal and adds a note: "Looks good, let's discuss volume discounts." The MSA is marked "Needs approval" for legal. These are in-room responses, not legally binding e-signatures.

Step 7Track

See what gets read, and for how long.

The room's analytics show 24 total views across 3 unique-viewer signals. A verified session associated with Sarah's email spent 4 minutes on pricing. Another viewer signal from Chicago spent 8 minutes on the case studies. You walk into the next call knowing what drew attention. An additional viewer may indicate forwarding, another device, or another stakeholder. It is not proof of a distinct person or a forwarding action.

Mutual action plans

Turn next steps into a plan both sides can follow.

Use a simple checklist or organize the deal into phases. Assign buyer and seller owners, add due dates and dependencies, keep internal work private, and track shared progress without another status email.

  • Give buyer and seller tasks a clear owner.
  • Use phases, due dates, subtasks, and dependencies when the deal needs them.
  • Keep seller-only tasks out of the buyer's view.

Included wherever Deal Rooms are available

Example mutual action plan with two phases, shared ownership, internal work, and progress tracking.

Contextual discussions

Keep every question next to the work.

Start a room-wide conversation or keep replies attached to a buyer-visible task, document, link, embed, or section. Each shared room link keeps its audience separate, while your team can triage conversations across rooms from one inbox.

  • Discuss the whole room or one specific item.
  • Keep each shared room link's conversation separate.
  • Triage buyer questions across rooms from one workspace inbox.

Available on Pro and Business plans

See additional-viewer activity across the deal

When more people open the same room link, additional-viewer activity can appear. One session opens the contract. Another checks the pricing tab. An executive-summary visit appears on a Sunday.

Additional-viewer activity can suggest that more stakeholders are involved.
It may reflect forwarding, another device, or another stakeholder. Treat it as a signal, not proof of identity or a forwarding action.

See HummingDeck in action

Digital sales room software that shows what gets attention

HummingDeck combines link-open activity with page-level signals, time on pricing, and return visits for tracked viewer sessions. An additional viewer can be a useful intent signal, but may reflect forwarding, another device, or another stakeholder. That's what first-party intent data looks like in practice: signals from your own content, not borrowed from a third-party network. Known-scanner filtering reduces automated noise, but cannot establish that every event came from a person.

Built for every deal type

Outbound prospecting

Outbound prospecting

Cold outreach lands better when you lead with content, not a calendar invite. Send a single room link with your deck, a Loom walkthrough, and two relevant case studies. Before your follow-up call, you can review opening activity, time on pricing, and possible additional-viewer signals. That's the difference between a blind follow-up and a warmer conversation.

  • Per-recipient tracked links for personalized outreach
  • Engagement signals before the first meeting
  • Loom + Calendly embeds alongside your collateral
Enterprise & multi-stakeholder deals

Enterprise & multi-stakeholder deals

Enterprise deals fall apart when context gets lost between stakeholders. With tabs (Proposal, Technical, Legal), each audience can find the relevant documents without scrolling through unrelated files. Mutual action plans keep both sides aligned on next steps, while viewer analytics show which content and sessions are active. A new-city or additional-viewer signal can prompt a follow-up, but does not establish the viewer's role or identity.

  • Tabs for each deal stage (Proposal, Legal, Technical)
  • Deal room engagement signals across viewer sessions
  • Mutual action plans with progress tracking
Channel & partner sales

Channel & partner sales

Partner enablement shouldn't mean emailing PDFs every time you update pricing. Create a room for each partner with the latest pitch decks, pricing sheets, product videos, and competitive battle cards. Update a document once, and every partner sees the latest version instantly. Track which partners actually use the materials and which ones need a nudge.

  • Always-current collateral: update once, everywhere
  • Usage analytics per partner
  • Branded rooms with your logo and theirs
Customer onboarding

Customer onboarding

The deal closed. Now deliver on the promise. The same room that won the deal becomes an onboarding hub. Swap out the proposal for implementation docs. Add training videos, API documentation, and a shared onboarding checklist. Your customer success team picks up where sales left off, with a record of which content drew attention during the deal.

  • Sales-to-CS handoff happens in the same room
  • Onboarding checklist with progress visibility
  • Training videos and docs in one branded portal

Gate the room with an email allowlist.

When the materials are sensitive, require email verification before the room loads. Only allowlisted email addresses can request an access link.

Add who's allowed

Type or paste the email addresses that should have access. Add or revoke recipients later without rotating the room URL.

Inbox verification

Recipients click a verification link sent to their inbox. The session lasts 24 hours on that device. New devices re-verify.

See activity by verified email

Views in an email-verified session are associated with the verified email address. This helps you compare what allowed recipients opened and how long their sessions spent on each section.

Verify your email

Access is restricted. Enter your email below and we'll send you an email verification link.

Email

Know when your buyer engages.

Get alerts for supported events when someone opens your room, reads a document, or submits a response, so you have a timely reason to follow up.

Slack notifications

Once Slack is connected on an eligible plan, a message can appear in your chosen channel after a buyer opens the room, views a document, or submits an Accept response. You don't need to keep a dashboard open.

Email alerts

Email alerts summarize supported room activity, including new views, completed action items, and submitted responses. They work even if you're away from Slack.

CRM sync

With Close CRM connected on an eligible plan, supported view and response activity can be logged automatically. This can reduce manual pipeline updates.

Know when the deal is ready, not when your calendar says to follow up.

A deal room is also a source of buying signals. You can see new viewer sessions, which sections get revisited, and activity that may suggest momentum or a stall. A return visit can be a useful signal in a long B2B cycle. When a prospect comes back to your room, use the fresh activity as a reason to check in.

Frequently asked questions

Do my buyers need to create an account?
Buyers do not need a HummingDeck account. Open room links load directly; depending on the link settings, recipients may be asked for an email address or required to verify it. When enabled, buyers can submit in-room responses without an account, and email-assigned recipients can complete their own buyer-visible action items.
What types of content can I add to a room?
Rooms can contain supported documents (PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and HTML), external links, and supported third-party embeds for video, scheduling, forms, design, docs, presentations, and audio. Spreadsheet files render tab by tab with charts and formatting; per-tab analytics require Starter or above. HummingDeck tracks room, document, and supported link activity, while interactions inside third-party embeds may remain with the provider.
What can I embed in a room?
Supported embeds include Loom, YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Vidyard, Calendly, Cal.com, SavvyCal, Typeform, Tally, Google Forms, Jotform, Fillout, Figma, Miro, Canva, Whimsical, Notion, Coda, Airtable, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Pitch, Gamma, Guideflow, Flipsnack, Prezi, Spotify, and SoundCloud. They render inside the room when the source is public or permits embedding. Interactions inside third-party embeds are not included in HummingDeck document analytics and may remain with the provider. Need something else? Contact support and we'll review adding it.
How does HummingDeck compare to DocSend?
DocSend focuses on document sharing. HummingDeck adds a room-based workflow for organizing multiple documents into tabs, embedding supported videos and forms, adding mutual action plans, and collecting in-room responses through one link.
Can I integrate with my CRM?
HummingDeck currently connects with Close CRM on Pro and Business plans. Supported activity can sync when the integration is configured. Slack notifications are also available on Pro and Business for supported events, and email alerts cover supported room activity. More CRM integrations are planned.
How does analytics work?
HummingDeck records room views, time on supported documents page by page, supported link clicks, return visits, and action-plan progress. Email verification can associate a session with an address; otherwise viewer and additional-viewer data should be treated as signals, not proof of identity. Known-scanner filtering reduces automated noise, but cannot establish that every event came from a person.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 1 room with up to 3 documents, plus document sharing and real-time view notifications. Paid plans add more rooms, extended analytics, custom branding, and advanced features.
What is a digital sales room?
A digital sales room (DSR) is a shared online space where a sales rep and a buyer or buying committee keep the documents, decks, contracts, and content related to a deal in one place. Instead of forwarding files over email, the seller creates one link that updates as the deal progresses and receives activity signals about what gets read and when.
How is a digital sales room different from a data room?
A digital sales room is a working space for seller and buyer collaboration during a deal. A data room is typically used for diligence such as fundraising, M&A, or legal review, with greater emphasis on security, audit, and governance controls. HummingDeck can support focused, relationship-led diligence, but it is not positioned as a formal VDR for large or regulated M&A.
What's the best digital sales room software?
The best digital sales room software depends on your workflow, governance needs, and budget. Teams with complex enterprise requirements often compare Seismic or Highspot, while mid-market teams may also evaluate Aligned, Dock, or GetAccept. Founders and solo sellers can start with HummingDeck's single-user Starter plan; teams can compare its per-seat Pro and Business plans. See the table above and verify current terms before buying.
How much does a digital sales room cost?
Digital sales room pricing varies by tier, seat count, limits, add-ons, and billing term. HummingDeck Starter is $10 per month for one user. HummingDeck Pro and Business are per-seat plans, while other vendors use a mix of per-seat and quote-based pricing. Verify the current terms for the exact workflow you need.

Digital sales room example

This is a sample deal room built for a fictional enterprise deal. It includes a proposal, pricing sheet, and case studies organized in tabs, plus a mutual action plan and an embedded video walkthrough. On Pro and Business plans, the buyer can submit an Accept or Request Changes response to the proposal. These responses are not legally binding e-signatures. The seller sees per-page analytics, viewer activity, and notifications.
