Captured Leads is the inbox for people who shared an email before viewing a document or entering a Room. It gives broad content distribution a practical next step without adding every viewer to your Contacts automatically.

Lead Magnet documents
Create a Lead Magnet link and enable email capture. This works well for a report, guide, pitch asset, template, event resource, or other document you plan to share with a wider audience.
The viewer enters an email before the document opens. The address and available engagement details then appear in Captured Leads.
Email-gated Rooms
A Room link using Ask for email or Verify any email also adds the viewer to Captured Leads. Ask has less friction and accepts a self-reported address. Verify sends a one-time link to confirm control of the inbox.
Restricted viewers do not enter this inbox. They were allowed in advance and belong in the known contact or account workflow instead.
Review and organize captures
Open Accounts, then Captured Leads. You can:
- switch between All, My, and Team captures;
- search by email or source;
- filter by document or Room, contact status, and date;
- compare views, time, and completion where those metrics are available;
- export all, new, or selected rows as CSV.
Room captures identify the entry source, but this inbox does not show page-level document metrics for those rows. Use Room and document Analytics to review later engagement.
Known bot sessions are filtered out of Captured Leads. This reduces automated security checks and previews, but no filter can guarantee that every remaining address belongs to a qualified person.
Add a useful capture as a Contact
Select one or more rows and choose Add to Contacts when the person belongs in an ongoing relationship. If the email already matches a Contact, HummingDeck shows that connection rather than creating another record.
Adding a Contact makes it easier to:
- connect future links and Rooms to the same person;
- associate the person with a company;
- review activity as one account history;
- move the relationship into Pipeline.
Keep low-intent, invalid, or irrelevant captures in the inbox until you decide whether they belong in your contact list.
Sales-related uses
- Gate a market report or whitepaper to identify interested accounts.
- Share a broad pitch asset before creating a Personal link for a qualified prospect.
- Use an email-gated event Room to collect attendees and distribute follow-up material.
- Capture early investor interest, then connect relevant people to a company and fundraising Pipeline.
Non-sales uses
- Distribute recruiting packs or candidate information while collecting a reply address.
- Share training, education, or association resources with a known audience.
- Organize partner onboarding material in a Room and see who requested access.
- Offer a template, research pack, or community resource without making it fully open.
